Cross posted from the CASE Partners notes file I'm doing a presentation to ASK on 10 jan. We are going to try and win the development environment for DECStations, Ultrix and Cohesion. Right now ASK is doing their new product development with Ingres Windows/4GL running on SUN workstations. One of the questions that will come up is: If you want to integrate our (AKS's) enivronment, how will Windows /4Gl fit into cohesion? I can give the "generic" and "standards" answer, but I'm going to need more than that. What is our relationship to Ingres? Are we working with them to inte- grate Windows/4GL into cohesion? Anyone know who our corporate contact is? I'm going to cross post this note in the db-competition conference. Marty

We have several relationships with Ingres (some good, some bad). Check with the Ultrix/SQL product manager (our database that ships with Ultrix). The product manager's name escapes me at the moment. Jim Steiner may be another contact. I believe he has worked on the marketing side of the Ingres Tools for Rdb/VMS. | |||||

The ULTRIX/SQL product manager is Abe Mathew (NOVA::). The Ingres tools work with ULTRIX/SQL. |
