INTENDED AUDIENCE Sales Support Specialists and Consultants
that have an INTERMEDIATE level of knowledge
of DATABASE and/or DECtp. Delivery (PSS)
Specialists, Educational Services developers
and instructors are also encouraged to attend.
OVERVIEW The DATABASE/DECtp symposium supplements other
information and training that is available
in the field, and will cover topical content
and issues that will help Sales Support take
advantage of DATABASE/DECtp opportunities.
Sessions will focus on new materials. They will
be taught by marketing, engineering, and by
industry consultants. There will be a combination
of general sessions, as well as smaller
breakout sessions. Some products will be
available with scripted demonstrations
in a student lab. Support will be available
in the lab for students' specific questions.
COURSE GOALS
After attending the Database/DECtp Technical
Symposium sales support reps will be able to:
* Articulate the Digital database/DECtp strategy
and its benefits;
* Position Digital's database/TP products within
our strategy and against the competition; and
* Describe and position Digital's object
oriented offerings
* Position Digital's database and related
product offerings within an information
management solution
* Position Digital's Database and DECtp
offerings against our major competitors

HOTEL RESERVATIONS Hotel reservations will be made through
the registration process (see REGISTRATION
above) UNTIL 6am EST, January 10, 1991. A student
registering AFTER 6am EST, December 28, 1990
must make their own housing arrangements.
Students are encouraged to request double
occupancy in accordance with Digital policy.
All double occupancy rooms are equipped with
two beds. ALL rooms are equipped with MODEMS.
Students must specify smoking, or no smoking.
80 double rooms are available at the symposium
hotel. Students will be accommodated in first
come, first serve basis in accordance with
their date of registration. Should the number
of registrants requiring double rooms exceed
the number of rooms available at the Symposium
hotel reservations will be made at an adjacent
hotel.
Room Rates at the Symposium hotel:
Single: $65.00
Double: $70.00 ($35.00 per student)
AIRLINE/RENTAL CAR STUDENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING THEIR OWN
RESERVATIONS ARRANGEMENTS.
The nearest major airport is Manchester, NH.
Free shuttle bus service is available from
the Manchester airport to the Clarion. Rental
cars are not encouraged.
AMERICAN EXPRESS GROUP & INCENTIVE SERVICES in
Marlboro, MA has been named the official
travel service for the DATABASE Sales Support
Symposium.

American Express accepts no liability for
tickets lost through delivery via US Mail.
Tickets will be Federal Expressed to your
office and charged to the DIGITAL
Cost Center Federal Express number based upon
your request for this type of delivery.
Tickets meeting eligibility requirements
will be delivered via DIGITAL courier: TAF
forms required. The airlines charge a
$50 processing fee for lost ticket claim
applications.
REGISTRATION The registration form at the top of
this message must be COMPLETED and returned
ELECTRONICALLY to HDQ REGISTRAR @OGO.
You will be required to pick up your symposium
badge at the Clarion from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm,
Sunday, January 13, 1991.
MISCELLANEOUS Continental style breakfast will be served
STUDENT NOTES each day prior to the start of sessions.
Lunch will be provided all week (Monday
through Friday)
Dinner will be provided on Wednesday evening
