     Database  Systems  Group   is   pleased   to   announce solicitation 
     for  ULTRIX/SQL Preprocessor V1.1 and ULTRIX/SQL Rdb/VMS Portability 
     Tool worldwide field test sites.

     PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:  ULTRIX/SQL is a fully intergrated industry-standard 
     SQL (Structured Query Language) based Relational Database Management 
     System designed for the ULTRIX Operating System for Digital's family of
     RISC and VAX computer systems. It is ideal for both general user, 
     decision support environments , as well as multi-user, high concurrent
     access, high transaction volume and distributed environments.
      
     The Portability Tools that will be included with V1.1 of the ULTRIX/SQL 
     Embedded SQL Preprocessors for C, Fortran and Ada. The Portability Tools 
     allow you to port a program containing embedded SQL statements between an 
     ULTRIX/SQL enviroment and a VAX Rdb/SQL environment. There are two portab-
     ility tools for each language:
    
     ULTRIX/SQL -> VAX/SQL
    
     VAX Rdb/SQL -> ULTRIX/SQL.
     
     FIELD TEST SCHEDULE:

      -  Dec 04, 1990: FT site nominations begin

      -  Dec 14, 1990: FT site nominations closed

      -  Jan 04, 1991: FT site selection finalized, licensing info complete

      -  Jan 15, 1991: Kits sent to sites

      -  Jun 15, 1991: Field Test ends

     
     We are looking for external and internal field test sites. If you are 
     interested or know of a customer that is interested in being a field 
     test site for these products please send the  following  information
     immediately   to   the   Product  Manager  at  BANZAI::MATHEW

     Upon successful return of the above information, a complete field test
     questionnaire  will  be sent.  This detailed questionnaire will be the
     basis for final site selection.

     PREREQUISITES:  All field test sites must commit to evaluating the 
     software during field test.
