    Does anyone have competitive information about Accent/R?
    
    I have a customer that wants a comparison to rdb/tools etc..
    
    and I know ZIP about this product/company....

	We don't have competitive information about ACCENT/R, you might try the Competitive Hotline dtn 296-4748. Its a shot in the dark. You might also try and simply get some information from NIS National Information Systems about their product and do your own analysis. National Information Systems, Inc. 20370 Town Center Lane, Suite 130 Cupertino, California 95014 (408) 257-7700 ACCENT/R has its own proprietary database but I do know they were working on an interface to RDB but I don't know if that is complete or not, I haven't received any mail from them in a while. It is similar to System 1032, FOCUS, Ingres. It has its own programming language, screens and database. They were working on a SQL interface but if its not complete, they have their own Host Language Interface which is similar to SQL. ACCENT/R is/was a major 4GL on the DECsystem-10 & 20's.
