It sounds like your customer is not going to be running Ingres,
Oracle or Sybase on the IBM, but want to interface to that high
performance IBM supplied database that was made for the
hardware/software environment. Why does your customer want to run
a non-Digital, but portable database on their Digital gear? Keep
the customer focused on portable tools and databases that are designed
for the hardware/operating system environment. Tools and standards
(SQL, RDA/SQL Access) provide the best application portability and
interoperability, not portable database managers.
