800 Mb database
Backup Questions :-
Punter wants to back theis 800Mb db up every day, ON-LIne - his is a 24x7
operation. There is a choice, to disk, and then to tape, or directly to tape
(TA90 with a loader). Any idea how long this will take ? (hours, days, never ?).
There will be updating going on in batch when this backup is happening, so
the redo log will be growing.
(this by the way is an ex-Rdb and Rally site. It is ex not because of Rdb...)
Secondly :-
They want some users to have access to this db using easy*sql. This product
is a heavy resource user, I expect to have to allow 3Mb memory per user,
anybody out there have any users that use this ?
