This topic has been raised before, though not recently, so I'd like to ask what our current position on conversion from Oracle is. We have a CSO whose package runs on VAX/Oracle. Obviously we want to port this, so are there any tools available to migrate : SQL*Plus to VAX SQL ; the Oracle Dictionary to CDD/Plus ; and SQL*Forms to DECforms (or alternatively but not ideally to Rally). Anything we can do to scale down the complexity of the conversion will make it a lot easier to persuade the CSO to go with us ! Thanks, Chris

You might want to contact Chuck Stata. I seem to remember his name in association with a conversion tool to automatically convert the database definitions, the sql, and the forms. todd | |||||
