| First problem...DB2 runs only on MVS/XA (Soon to be /ESA only).
SQL/DS runs on VM and VSE.
You might want to talk to the VIDA development group since they
interfaced their Rdb-based product to DB2.

539.2 | Thought we already described this | WIBBIN::NOYCE | Bill Noyce, FORTRAN/PARALLEL | Wed Jan 17 1990 21:47 | 2 |
| Doesn't the VAX SQL documentation discuss compatibility with DB2
and SQL/DS?

| That's one of the only places I've been able to locate any
information from. Thanks!

539.4 | thanks .1 | HITPS::WEBSTER | | Thu Jan 18 1990 17:28 | 6 |
| I was given that list of OS's, it's all new to me, (IBM, I mean).
I talked to someone in the VIDA group, they couldn't really help --
they suggested the VAX SQL reference manual.
Thanks.

539.5 | Info specific to SQL/DS ? | DENVER::BISHOP | | Tue Feb 06 1990 17:29 | 3 |
| re: .2
Appendix C of the SQL Ref Guide (SQL v2.0) covers differences from DB2.
Is there a source of information (anywhere) specifically for SQL/DS?
