Can anyone help ? I would like some figures for sizing Oracle and

You should talk to the vendors directly for a couple of reasons:

    A. DEC does not maitain this expertise. We have enough trouble sizing
    with our own products.

    B. The vendors will be obtaining a license and thus making money
from the sale so they should do some grunt work to earn it. They
will also know if a particular configuration will work.

    C. And most important. If the system is under-sized, and the customer
wants it corrected at no charge, we need the vendor's buy in on
the sizing in order to share the liability. This means that when
you do obtain sizing from them, GET IT IN WRITING!!!! A telephone
conversation is not sufficent. I usally try to get Sales to set
up a relation with corresponding sales and support staff with the
    DB vendor.
