    Dear Associates-
     
    This note was posted to the PCSA conference, but may be of intereat
    her as well.
    
    We are in a competitive situation with multiple players.  My customer
    loves Oracle, is using it at the mid-tier level, and intends to
    use the PC version as well.  We are trying to continue to show the
    goodness of Digital and must support the customer strategy to survive
    at the account.
    
    Left on their own, they will deploy on Novell Token Ring.  Obviously,
    we are not keen on that idea.
    
    Do any of you have experience with the coexistence of PCSA with
    Oracle?  Does it work at all?  if so, what do we have to do for
    it to work?  what performance expectations should I have?  how do
    I win?
    
    Does Oracle have the same functionality at the PC level as at the
    mid-tier?  how can I contain Oracle to the mid-tier so that I have
    some hope of knocking them off if they stumble?
