Recently I was involved in a large INGRES to Rdb/VMS database conversion 
and thus build some tools using DATATRIEVE and VAX SCAN to automate the 
effort. The procedure is actually quite simple and straight forward. To 
benefit others who may have to cross the same path the notes on the 
procedure can be found at:
