306.0. "SQL*FORMS,FMS,TDMS?" by TROA01::SPACKMAN () Fri Feb 17 1989 18:29
I am trying to get an understanding of how most Oracle customers
develop applications. By applications I mean those that involve input
screens, menus, etc. as well as reports. Do most develop such
applications using pure SQL*FORMS or do they use pure 3GL code or some
combination of the two?
If 3GL code is being used as the primary development tool, what
is being used to do forms management ... SQL*FORMS, or a FORMS product
such as FMS or TDMS?
In addition to understanding their customer base, I am also trying to
clarify in my mind, the role that SQL*FORMS plays.
If those of you who deal with customers who are running Oracle
could comment, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks
Janet
