299.0. "Rdb, No ACMS, 25 users (or more). Reference ??" by COPCLU::BRUNSGAARD (I am now a parent (hurrah)) Wed Feb 08 1989 08:41
Hi,
Has anyone got examples of running Rdb (no special version required)
without ACMS and servicing approx. 25 simultanous users, and a
willingness to share their experience with our (hopefully) new customer.
The workload is estimated to be almost READ only.
This question was arised by a customer who are choosing between
Rdb and Ingress.
Now in ALL technical aspects they prefer Rdb (ie. performance, future
aso.), however they have "heard" that driving Rdb without ACMS is
quite a job, and they haven't got manpower to monitor Rdb all the
time.
We tried to convince them about this matter aswell, but they were
hooked on the idea, that they should talk to someone, that already
tried this type of workload.
Hopefully someone knows someone.
Lars
