238.0. "UNIDATA Anyone?" by HOTAIR::DAVIS (We're Flying!!!) Wed Nov 02 1988 22:18
OK folks...dig deep into your brain attic's and tell me if
you've heard of a product called 'UNIDATA'.
This is (according to the literature):
'A SQL-based relational data base management system which also
maintains broad compatibility with the PICK operating system.
...contains an English-like query Language, an extended version
of the PICK BASIC programming language, a series of 4gl utilities
and other productivity tools. Unidata currently runs on over
15 different Unix based hardware platforms and virtually any
386 running AT&T unix or SCO XENIX. A DEC VMS version will
be released in the 1st or 2nd quarter of next year" (1989?)
I posted a similar entry in the PICK notes file....and will do the
same in the UNIX/ULTRIX notes.
Cheers,
Gil
