Has anyone got any info on a product called SQLnet sold by a company
called SQLbase? Not sure of the spelling, or whether it might even
be Sybase.
The claimed functionality of SQLnet is that it allows a full function
relational database on a portable PC, with some sort of 4GL tool,to
collect data in the field. Back at home office, that PC database
will link to a "Server", dont know what this is, and incrementaly
update a database on the Server and simultaneously update DB2 on
an IBM mainframe, again with just the incremental changes.
No information on backup, integrity etc.
Lotus and Microsoft are apparently backing this company.
