Does anyone have any information on FOCNET? The only thing I've been able to find was an article in the February Sales Update. Is it really as powerful as it sounds? Does this mean that FOCUS will be able to provide interactive Read/Write access to DB2 databases? Any info would be greatly appreciated. THanks Janet

Kind of. As I understand it, it means that if you have a FOCUS database on both the IBM and Digital sides, the Digital user can query a DB2 database via FOCUS on the IBM side. The data passing appears to be FOCUS to FOCUS with the FOCUS product itself obtaining the data from other sources (DB2, IMS, etc.). It would seem that once the data is imported into FOCUS, the user could modify it and then update the DB2 database with the modified data. I'd check with Info Builders to be sure. ---- Michael Booth | |||||
