Be careful to use ORACLE on a VAX Cluster. They are not able to
do After Image Journaling in a Cluster. How would you recover ???

| I just talked to an VMS-Oracle specialist and he told me that they
'recomend' using disk-shadowing in a cluster and no AI.
Isn't that fun ?

| disk-shadowing does not provide the entire 'recovery' features given
by AIJ....AIJ can deal with 'logical errors' as a result of hardware
or software errors where shadowing will only provide disk failure
recovery.

| Oracle generally discourages their customers from using VAXcluster
systems with the product. They have very little in-house expertise
on the VAXcluster technology. Consequently, support is minimal as
well. The product is not designed to be optimum in a VAXcluster
configuration.
Try to alter your customer's decision if you can.
