403.0. "How do you force a page break?" by DLOPAS::FSDB71::DAVIDSON (Bill 'RED' Davidson @ DLO / DTN=486-6339) Tue Feb 12 1991 15:56

I'm using VAX DOC V1.2B and have found that my books to not "page break" at
<HEAD2> and <HEAD3> like some doc's I'm using off the consolidated doc
distribution.

First, what am I doing wrong? I want page breaks at <HEADx>.

Also, how can I force a page break in Bookreader?

    Hi Red,
    	Try using the <SET_ONLINE_TOPIC> tag. In the release notes for
    V1.2B you'll find a nice write-up. In Bookreader, the 'pages' are
    topics. Therefore, it breaks the content up by topics. The
    <SET_ONLINE_TOPIC> tag takes one argument. That argument can be
    CHAPTER, HEAD1, HEAD2, HEAD3, MASTER, or NOMASTER. If, for example,
    you use <SET_ONLINE_TOPIC>(HEAD2), your document will break at
    chapter, head1 and head2.
    	By default, chapters, first level heads, appendices, parts,
    templates, title pages, prefaces and glossaries are topics. Supplying
    no argument to the tag ensures the default topics.

    Hope this helps,

    	Wayne
