I am running into a problem with figures that contain multiple figure files. The files were created on Auto-Trol and converted to .bin files. What is happening is that if there are three files for one figure, the bottom of the first and second files are cut off (the bottom of the figures are missing on the screen). Does anyone know a fix for this?

Please send pointers to your 3 .bin files and a small file that reproduces your <figure_file> coding for these files. What version of DOCUMENT are you using? Are you getting any error messages during processing? Mary

I am using DOCUMENT V1.2-B, and no, there weren't any errors except a few line too longs and I don't know if they applied to these pages. You can copy the files from MRED::$1$DUA2:[MRO$PUBLIC] There are 3 .bin files and a Test.sdml file. Thank you very much for looking into this Ellen
375.3 | use correct number of picas for screen | OLD::UTT | Don't worry, be crabby. | Mon Oct 01 1990 11:54 | 13 |
The problem is that you are using the same pica measurements for both the .bin and .ps figures, but the .bin figures are larger. In the files I copied, the 2nd figure (mr_1686_89.bin) was being overwritten by the 3rd figure (mr_1687_89.bin); the first (mr_1618_89.bin) was fine. For the 2nd .bin file, you are using a measure of 40 picas, but on screen, the figure measures almost 70 picas. I changed the <figure_file> argument to 70 and all 3 figures displayed correctly. Let me know if you have any more problems. Mary |
