363.0. "Incompatible Attributes error message" by BOOKIE::THOMAS () Mon Jul 23 1990 13:53

    When I try to append a book's DECW$BOOKSHELF file to
    LIBRARY.DECW$BOOKSHELF, an error message tells me that the book's
    bookshelf file and LIBRARY.DECW$BOOKSHELF have "incompatible
    attributes." Does anyone know what this means and how the problem
    can be corrected?

	Is it possible you tried to append a .DECW$BOOK file to the .DECW$BOOKSHELF file? I was able to get the same error message when I tried it. Otherwise, maybe the .DECW$BOOKSHELF file you're trying to append has been corrupted during some sort of file transfer? Sorry I can't be of more help... Wayne

    tried it.
    
    Otherwise, maybe the .DECW$BOOKSHELF file you're trying to append has
