336.0. "Beginner needs a jumpstart" by CHEESE::KAISER () Fri May 11 1990 10:51

For an internal product I'd like to produce a manual in an "official" format in
both hardcopy and Bookreader form. As a Document user I'm not starting utterly
from scratch, but I could really use a jumpstart and some advice.

Would some experienced soul in the Greater Maynard Area be willing to spend a
half hour with me (I'll travel and buy the coffee and donuts) to help get me
started? Is there useful sample source available, including illustrations?
Currently installed: VMS V5.3-2, Document V1.2B + internal. What else do I
need?

Any suggestions worth posting here?

Hi, Pete! I recently did some training in Europe on coding for the Bookreader,
and made some slides summarizing what you need to do. If you'd like to take a
look at the slides, you can copy the PostScript version from:

	DONVAN::USER6:[OLD_EUROPE]CONCEPTS_AND_CODING.PS

Also, there is information in the DOCUMENT V1.2-B Notes for Internal Users that
expands on what I have on the slides.

Hope this helps.  Good luck!

The file and location mentioned in .1 no longer exist. My OLD training slides
(though somewhat outdated) can be found in:
