| The following are the current instructions for obtaining the Bookbrowser
PAK. Although these are the methods you have tried without success,
note the pointer to the VTX administrator in case of problems.
If you are accessing documents from the OLD CD, note that the
Bookbrowser PAK is on the CD (see the documentation that accompanies
the CD). Install the PAK as follows:
$ @dev:[DECW$BOOK]BOOKBROWSER.COM
Hope this helps,
Mary

Subj: Online Doc. BOOKBROWSER PAK available internally on VTX
Hi folks ---
The online documentation BOOKBROWSER PAK is now available to all Digital
employees through the internal VTX PAK system. The VTX PAK system is an
online system for obtaining software PAKs for all Digital software
products, and the PAKs are delivered to Digital employees electronically
at no charge.
Because the online documentation distributed on CDROM is licensed, and
because writers include license information in their review drafts, it
has become essential to register the BOOKBROWSER PAK in the LMF databases
on most systems. The internal VTX PAK system provides all internal users
an efficient and timely means to obtain current BOOKBROWSER PAKs.
The following instructions can be used to obtain a BOOKBROWSER PAK. For
more detailed information, or technical assistance in case of problems,
please contact the VTX PAK administrator, Kevin Congdon at THATS::CONGDON.
Hopefully this information can be posted so that the writing groups in CUP
who most urgently requested this service will be informed that the VTX PAK
system now contains the BOOKBROWSER PAK they need.
Regards,
Marian

re: 128.0
Note that the method give in 128.0 does not work if you are an European
Digital Employee. Nomally they should use:
$ VTX EUROPAK
and then follow the bouncing menus.
