I have a manual containing a number of figures, which I have prepared under DECwrite. I include the Postscript into my source SDML using the <include_file> tag. This works fine for the hardcopy version of the manual, but when I look at the online version and call up a figure from its hotspot, the window that appears is small and empty (I tried enlarging the window - it is now big and empty). I could understand this if I was having trouble with the hardcopy version, too, but the fact that the figures are only missing online is perplexing. Has anyone else encountered this? Chris

Check your log/lis file you should have an error message for each PS file that you tried to include that says figure not found. At this time PS is not supported see notes 94, 87, 50 for more discussion on the figure formats that are supported. MIke

Mike, Thanks for the reply. My first reaction was "What do you mean, we don't support PS? I've used it dozens of times!" Then, when I actually thought about it for a moment, I realised that I've always used line art. Chris

Use one of the conversion utilities, UTOX for example and create .FSE files and include those. You should get some nice figures then... |
