Hi, we formatted a manual for the Bookreader with the ONLINE.REFERENCE doctype and found that the strings 'Title Page' and 'Copyright Page' in the contents are not translated. I found these strings hard-coded in TEX$O_COMMON.TEX. They should be removed to TEX$LANGUAGE_STRINGS.TEX or at least coded so that they can be translated. The German translations for these strings are: Title Page - Titelseite Copyright Page - Copyright-Seite I suppose that other countries will have the same problem, so I have sent this information not only to PAGES::DOCTOR but also put it in here. Regards Gudrun

We know. It's on the list, not for DOCUMENT V1.2B but for the next release. (I've already heard from Brian Fuller about this!) Thanks, Mary | |||||

Hello, I'm sorry that I'm causing this confusion - BUT - I have found the translations for Copyright Page and Title Page in TEX$LANGUAGE_STRINGS.TEX. The reason why we got the English text strings was that TEX$LANGUAGE_STRINGS.TEX wasn't read in because the respective command was commented out in TEX$STARTUP.COM. Since I removed the comment sign TEX$LANGUAGE_STRINGS.TEX is read in and we get the German strings. So next time I'll have a better look at all the files I can think of before I write a note. Gudrun |
