Okay, here's a problem similar to the one in note 257, although this job gets
farther along in the index creation till it bombs out.

Here's the error message:

I'm using the Oct. 27 tools and the correct doctype design file. I have some
large tables in the book but no long examples.

    Does you index have lots of very long entries? That is, references to
    many many pages in some entries?
    
    Another user had this happen recently and that was the problem. I've
    put a fix in the next version of the online tools. If you send me
    kn00ce_pro_index.tex, I'll check it out.
