198.1 | We need a little more info | NAVIGO::GRANT | I've saved $2124.00 since I quit smoking. | Thu Sep 21 1989 09:47 | 11 |
| Hi Donna,
We can check out the first problem you mentioned, but need a little
information for the second. When you say that the figure and table labels
don't show up consistently in the topic line of their respective popups, what
do you mean? If you display the same .DECW$BOOK file at different times, is
it inconsistent then? Or does Table n display OK for one bookbuild but not
for the next and then OK for another?
Whatever additional information you can supply will help us a lot.
Thanks,
Wayne

198.2 | More infor on the second problem... | DICKNS::STOLBERG | | Fri Sep 22 1989 18:31 | 26 |

With regards to the second problem...
In one case, the Table label appears for Table 1-1 and does not
appear for Table 1-2. The Table 1-1 topic line looks like the
following:
Table 1-1 Target Processors
The Table 1-2 topic line appears as follows:
Development Software
The Table 1-2 label is missing.
The same labels seem to be missing across builds. The code looks
the same.
When a label is missing from a popup, it's also missing from index
references.
Does this help? Do you want me to provide you with a DECW$BOOK
file that shows this?

| Donna-
The first problem (extra space between open paren and xref text)
appears to be a DOCUMENT 1.2 bug; i.e., I get the same result for
PS output. I will forward your note to the appropriate people; you
may want to enter a note in the DOCUMENT notes conf.
Could you send me a couple of the tables in which you get the
inconsistent topic lines?
Thanks,
Mary

We are getting the same online problem that Donna was, but WITHOUT
the same result for PS output.
The problem seems only to occur in ONLINE.HAND, and only when the
<reference> tag is preceded by a character or another tag.
Any ideas?

available in the next release of the bookbuilding tools.
