| As you found out in the BOOKREADER conference: not true. New versions
of the Bookreader are, and will be, backward-compatible.

Presently CUp and SBT are reviewing the effort (time/people) needed
to process docs (critical vs. non-critical) from V1 to V2 of the
bookreader. We have identified 20-25 products (critical) that must
have online documentation for V2. This list should be coming around
to Engineering and Writing Managers associated with those products.
Products not on the list are being individually addressed and will
be processed as time and people permit.
In addition, we are working on charters, product criteria, schedules,
architectures, training, and solving problems associated with V1
to make the enbtire online doc process easier for the future.

| RE .0 - The V2 Bookreader is being released in October, not Feb/March.
RE .2 - Mike, you might want to cross-post that reply in the
BULOVA::BOOKREADER conference (where .0 is also posted).

DECwindows V2 which includes the V2 Bookreader is being submitted
to the SSB in mid-October. An internal only SSB kit should be available
at that time. However, customers won't see V2 DECwindows until early
January (FRS) of next year.

| RE .5 - Oops, I guess I somehow heard "released from SSB" instead of
"submitted to SSB." In any case, the point is that it's being released
before February/March...
