I find the spacing around <subhead1> lines to be rather odd when 
viewed online. There is less space above the subhead than below 
it, so visually it feels like the subhead header line belongs to 
the text above it rather than to the text below it. In hardcopy 
the amount of space above and below a subhead is about the same 
-- with possibly a little more above (as would be expected). 

(I'm referring to files processed with ONLINE.REFERENCE and 
VMSREF.)
