I have been developing a document using the 20-Mar-89 baselevel and found that the first occurance of the <ONLINE_POPUP> does not seem to be seen. If I duplicate the table in another <ONLINE_POPUP>, it now appears. Is there something special I should be looking for? Paul Patrick

Egads! Really? I'll look into this... Thanks, Mary | |||||

The problem is that I override hotspots for symbols defined using the <DEFINE_SYMBOL> tag (also the <DEFINE_BOOK_NAME> tag). But I neglected to reset hotspots afterward and the first true hotspot gets trounced as well. Things get reset after that (non)hotspot so all the others are OK. This manual (and Nina's in Note 115) uses a reference to such a symbol in the title of the document. (<ONLINE_POPUP>s are sort of a special case of <REFERENCE> so the results were the same in both cases.) This will be fixed in the next baselevel of the online tools, including the T1.2 baselevel promised for early this week. Sorry for the inconvenience, Mary |
