I just put two of my books on BOOKREADER, and all went well. My
question is how do I put together a bookshelf for a product/subject.
I used the "Coding Source files for DECwindows Bookreader" as my
guide to preparing my SDML files, and noted its emphasis on a
.DECW$BOOKSHELF file. I was also relieved that DOCUMENT produced
one for each book, but how is a product-wide bookshelf done.
Is there a switch to DOCUMENT to specify that an individual book
goes with a bookshelf, do we append to or create a .DECW$BOOKSHELF
using an editor.
Many Thanks

For now, this has to be done manually (i.e. using an editor). Add a line to the bookshelf you want to be the parent shelf, something like: SHELF\PROJECT.DECW$BOOKSHELF\Project Bookshelf Title (Make sure the line starts with "SHELF" and you put the filename between two "\" characters or the Bookreader will get upset.) Then create the file, PROJECT.DECW$BOOKSHELF, and append the entries for each of the books in the shelf. Look at the *.DECW$BOOKSHELF files in the online documentation kit for v5.1. joe | |||||
