62.0. "wishlist" by DONVAN::ABBOTT () Mon Jan 09 1989 12:54
Wish List: A really quick way to access each chapter of a book
from the toc online. Unhandy to keep scrolling.
Re tables, examples in text, would be nice to see some
kind of signal/symbol to show they have ended. Sometimes the vert.
scroll bar indicator is deceptive (thruout this hard-to-be-sure
scroll bar has left me not sure, in other places too).
One already known, I'm sure: smaller type for the running
page heads, so that width problem will disappear (unless we know
proportionally its width in comparison with hardcopy type--so we
can warn of wide problem online). Goes for all titles (in
figs/exsmpls.)
Another one for TOC: any way to get to the top of the
toc once you're far into it? I THINK title page also is hard to
get (other than backing up from Preface). I may be ignorant here.
ALSO: in examples with callout numbers, is there an
easy way to get to the key for these numbers? (Just hold the ex.
(after you've moved it for room) and get back (how quickly?) to
the Key in text.?

I would love to be able to click on a callout number and get the
corresponding explanation in the callout list....

| Yes, it's on the list, although I'm not sure when it will get done.
Thanks,
