34.0. "VMS V5 required to build books?" by MTWAIN::FRIEDMAN () Tue Nov 22 1988 10:47

    We are running VMS 4.7 with DOCUMENT 1.1 and the FT2UPDATE 
    CUP$BOOKREADER.SAV file restored. 
    
    I get the following error in the device converter when running a
    file through with ONLINE BOOKREADER, but not with any other doctype
    or destination. Suggestions appreciated...

	The ONLINE device converter that went into the FT2UPDATE was built on a 5.0 system. I'm guessing that there is a newer version of the VAXC run time libraries hence the incompatibility. If you do a /keep=dvi on the document command line that'll keep all the files needed for the DVC until you find a system with 5.0 or upgrade. Just as a note the FT2UPDATE contained a big change to decwindows font naming conventions that forced us to make former versions of bookreader files incompatible with the new bookreader. MiKE
