    I seem to remember hearing about an executable image that would perform
    the same function as the ONLINE_CLEANUP.COM but does it much faster.
    
    Does anyone know of an ONLINE_CLEANUP.EXE?  If so, do you know where I
    could get a copy?

See note 17.0 for an explanation of the various versions of ONLINE_CLEANUP.

Both versions are "unsupported."  I'm willing to answer questions do
problem-solving (or try to) involving "my" version.  Based on some
limited hear-say, though, it's possible that neither version will be
satisfactory for certain books -- it seems that quirks and idiosyncracies 
abound throughout doc sets in CUP.
