    This notes conference is intended for reporting problems, suggestions,
    comments and so on about the VAX DOCUMENT online bookbuilding tools.
    These tools are being developed by CUP Engineering to support the
    DECwindows Bookreader. 
    
    At this time, the online bookbuilding tools have been distributed only
    to CUP documentation organizations for testing. Thus, only problems
    reported by members of CUP will have priority for being addressed. In
    the future the tools will be distributed more widely.

    This conference is not a Bookreader conference.  For now, use
    BULOVA::DECWINDOWS to discuss the Bookreader.  In the near future,
    I will be creating a Bookreader conference--probably on BULOVA.
    I will post the reference here when I do.

    Meanwhile, Please DO NOT post this conference in other conferences as
    the Bookreader conference, and if you have done so, please go back
    and delete your notes.

This notes conference will henceforth be write-locked.

With the release of VAX DOCUMENT V2.0 with online bookbuilding features, the
notes properly belong in the DOCUMENT (CLOSET::) notes conference. It no longer
makes sense to maintain the notes conferences separately and, in fact, is
confusing for noters and maintainers alike.

Furthermore, VAX DOCUMENT has been taken over by another development group
*and* I will soon be off to U Mass Amherst (under the GEEP program), so my
involvement with the product is at an end. 

This conference will remain in place, as a resource, on CLOSET until the new
developers decide to do something else with it. 

This project has been a lot of work and a lot of fun, and I feel very fortunate
to have worked on it. Thanks to all of you for your attention, support, and (in
many cases) patience!
