Cluster Labs
Page 7 This lab sounds good but I know that there is no way the students
here in Landover can do disconnect CI cables especially from two CPU's.
These labs assume you have not only at least two CI noes but also
satellites and we don't have that many Vax's to dedicate to one class.
#4. This assumes you have a 780 anmd 750. We don't.
#5. We also don't have the ability to mess with the HSC's without
affecting the rest of the classes.
#6. Like stated above we can't just go in and mess with votes nad not screw
everyone up. Do other sites have the ability to do these labs? I hate
for students to see these and then tell them we won't be doing them.
#7. What if you don't have removable media?
#8. We can'y do this to our quorum disk without affecting the entire cluster
and everyone taking courses.
We are able to build a LAVC here for labs, but other than monitoring our cluster
that is it. I found most of these labs undoable for us.
The Labs sound good, but are we don't have that much hardware at
our disposal.

Written Cluster Labs
THese labs seem pretty good because they really have to think and
understand quorum to do them. Although the last question 4-4 and
the solution are papaer wasters. Two lines on each page??

Chapter 2 labs
Page 1
I think a lab on running UETP is a bit much.
Will the system be available to the rest of the class while this is running?
Does this write lock the disk? I thought it did.
Page 5 There is no way you can do a lab at the console terminal with each
person in the class. You have to babysit them to make sure they don't do
anything they should'nt and as a group lab this won't work because not
everyone can see the console terminal. The console labs have never been done
in any course I have taught or sat in.

115.7 | Errata in tests | SUPER::MATTHEWS | | Fri Mar 13 1992 15:05 | 20 |
| We don't have a separate note on the tests so I'll record errors here.
I've fixed these in the Sys/Net III TBI.
Errors in prereq test (EY-G988E-TS-0001):
5. answer should be a, not b
12. symboL should be symbol
23h. answer should be 0, not 1
24. none of the answers is correct (the answer is 10)
40. delete this question -- I don't think the material covers it
Presumably the same errors are in the posttest from Sys/Net II.
Errors in posttest (chapter 13 in student workbook):
2. "make a change" should be more accurately "gain access to"
