Can't verify the technical content - water level is over my head by the
time we get to system customization!

The detail so far as the student pages go looks just fine. I liked the
hints and tips on the instructor pages too.

                               Chapter 10

                  Introduction to system customization

1-5 3. Swapfile1.sys (*is it called swapfile1.sys???)

Put something in instructor notes about Satellite_page.com

1-9 You have the two commands to create logical names and I think
you should show the format for each as well to remind the students of
the difference.

             $assign/system real logical

            $define/system logical real

1-11 If the example uses ASSIGN why use DEFINE here??? Be consistent.

1-14 What does Login command procedures have to do with customizing the
system? This is customizing the user enviornment and should't be inthis chapter.

1-16 again, I don't think this should be here, but you should go over a
captive account and how to set one up. Maybe a captive command procedure
because students always want to know that. But not in this chapter. \it ruins
the flow.

1-20 GENPARAMS Phase Output files. As of 5.4 its not AGEN$FEEDBACK.REPORT
anymore, and don't forget the new history file.

1-21 Same thing on this page, not agen$feedback.report.

1-22 What is VWS??

Step 4. If you say NOFEEDBACK why in step 1. are you deleting the feedback
file?

Are you only showing them sysgen thru sysman???

1-24 This is good.

Thank you for all of your excellent comments. Most of the comments have been
implemented with a few exceptions. The end of this note is in response to
the comments that were not included.

A new version of the chapter has been copied to the review directory.

	SUPER::ES$REVIEW:[SYSNET_II]SYSNETII_CHAP10.PS

Feel free to make comments, but be aware that any comments made from this date
on will only be considered after the pilot.

Thanks,
Bonnie Morgan

Reason for not making the change:

These comments will be considered again after we see how the material flows
during the pilot.

This reply is limited to technical errors only. I'll refrain from making
comments one way or the other about content, style, etc....

Module 5 (Introduction to System Customization) in SYSNET II

p. 5-24 Need either FEEDBACK or NOFEEDBACK in the AUTOGEN examples, or
at the very least a comment that indicates FEEDBACK is the
default (along with what that means).

page 5-7 Have the phase names changed with 5.5??? The old phase
names were lpbegin, lpmain, lpbeta and end. If 5-7 is wrong it
should be changed. If 5-7 is correct we need an new system manager's
    manual.

page 5-13 "Set nocontrol_y" in exs. 5-4 should be "Set nocontrol=y"

page 5-18 "on control-y" in ex. 5-7 should be "on control_7"

General= Susan said it, or hinted at it. You are covering Sysman
and not Sysgen. Probably do to the capability of sysman
to set enviorment. I would rather use sysgen. Teach with the
diagram of how sysgen works, compare the diagram to the one used
for sysboot. Then when dome tell them they can do the same from
    sysman and can set enviorment.

I think Chuck meant "on control_Y", not "7".

Thank you, Buck. The 7 is so close to the y at the end of a long
    day.
