| Val, Kristin;
1. Page 1-4, I very much agree with the emphasis on "EVE".
2. Page 1-6a, It may be useful to explain why "EDIT/TPU" is
used to envoke "EVE".
3. No major problems with this chapter.

| Module: Creating Memos, Reports, and Data Files
My views - not necessarily those of my colleagues.
Some of these comments I've made elsewhere - I think.
Page Comment
1-7 The status line in Figure 1-1 MUST include the word WRITE
Callout 2 MUST include mention of the meaning of WRITE
1-13 Bullet 2: please add a short statement about EVE asking for
a confirmation on QUIT for modified buffers. (Could
go in an instructor note). This point is NOTEd on page 1-22.
1-19 REPLACE: also puts the editor in insert mode.

CREATING MEMOS, REPORTS, AND DATA FILES
Page 1-13a: there are some problems with the recovering of TPU files.
There for the customers can also run TPU V2.6 under VMS V5.3-1 and
VMS V 5.3-2.
This because of mentioning VMS V5.4 TPU$JOURNAL this can also
happen under VMS V5.3-1/2
Page 1-13: toevoegen File recovery first bullet
filename_filetype.TPU$JOURNAL
Page 1-16: Where are the multiply windows promised on page 1-5?
Maybe we can put something in about the EVE init file. EVE$INIT.EVE
Same for EDT
An example could be: EVE$INIT.EVE
set keypad edt

55.4 | TPU$JOURNAL | TEACH::CHUCK | | Sun Jun 02 1991 03:44 | 25 |
| Sysnet I-module 4:
Page 1-10 Title: sounds like we are circling the
file. How about "Moving the cursor around in the
document" or "moving around in the document"
Page 1-13 In 5.3 and higher the default journal
file TYPE is .TPU$JOURNAL. The file name is a
combination of the filename_filetype. The underscore
replacing the period. There are new commands in eve
help to do recovering in different ways. We need to
know how to recover using the .TPU$JOURNAL. It is
the default. If it works then no one is going to do the
extra work to invoke .tjl.
Page 1-15 State here that we can port in keypads
not just from EDT but also other editors.
Please do not teach part of EVE here then another
part later as in UC I then UC II. In II we have to
reteach the editor then talk about the few new features.
Lets do it all, whatever we are going to do, in one
place, then don't touch it again. This being said I
would like to cover section files, defining keys and the
learn function.
