Hi All,
There are now several project teams developing and supporting ACMS
based applications on the main clusters here at Solent namely:
PASTIT, CURRNT and FUTURS.
Some work went into the set-up of ACMS on these systems, since
DECStep buggered it each time it was upgraded. It now appears that
projects have conflicting requirements as far as the set-ups are
concerned. When the ACMS parameters are changed to suit one
application they may break another, hence some communication is
required between the teams to avoid duplicated and wasted effort.
If you wish to be involved in any conversations regarding what
parameter settings are required on what machines then please let
me know, either by mail, or by replying to this note.
I have set-up system notices on CURRNT and FUTURS where problems have
arisen, and will shortly do the same on PASTIT. These notices contain
contact lists of those people with a vested interest in ACMS on that
machine.
CSIST will look after the ACMS set-ups on these machines from now on,
unless anyone has any problems with this.
