After feedback from the area software development sites and migration
task force, here is the final list of products for the Jan/Feb 1991
software migration, as published by the EOPG (European Operations
Platforms Group based in Dublin). It will be published in the
January 1992 Notes Conference to be opened shortly.
This list is essentially the information on the contents of the next
Platform (additions, deletions etc), and other relevant information.
To follow, will be the compatible EU services products (3rd party etc),
environments, tools, messaging products, and internal applications.
This will comprise the total list for the next migration. IT WILL BE
ONLY AS ACCURATE AS THE FEEDBACK I RECEIVE FROM THE PRODUCT OWNERS.
Although you are now thinking about the July/August Migration, please
pass this memo on to everyone in your country who needs to have the
information, especially local development and EU groups.

PRODUCTS FOR THE JANUARY/FEBRUARY 1992 MIGRATION
The following tables show the Layered Products, Internal Tools,
changes to versions, products included for the first time,
and products no longer included in the DECstep Applications
Production Standard Environment (EASE) platform.
All Layered Product descriptions used in this list are those
used by the ESSB.
Cover Note
ALL-IN-1 V2.4 inclusion is currently under review by EOPG.
Whether ALL-IN-1 is to be bundled into the platform or handled
seperately as a post-installation task, and the inclusion of
[some] Local Language Variants (LLVs) has yet to be determined.
This situation should be resolved by around mid-June in coopera-
tion with John Bull.
WPS-PLUS is shipping at Version 4.0, however it's inclusion at
that version depends upon the ALL-IN-1 inclusion investigation
work. We are currently holding at version 3.1 for this migration
until further notice.
Unless we hear to the contrary, EOPG will remove VAX DECre-
porter, VAX COBOL Generator and Remote Bridge Management Soft-
ware - we suspect that their removal will have no effect - any
feedback ??

The ADGTST cluster will be upgraded to EASE V5.4-2 BL1 on Monday, 9th
September, to allow full EASE testing to begin.
As this entails full backups, and then the upgrade, the system may not be
available until some time on Tuesday...
Please note the preliminary impacts are due by Sept. 13th, and all testing
must be complete by September 27th, when final impacts are needed.

| We are having some hardware problems with a disk on ADGTST, which is delaying
the upgrade.
It's being worked.....

| DTM (Dec Test Manager) isn't included in EASE/DECstep, as it's not
relevant to a productiion site. We add VAXset to the platform ourselves
when we need to.
