425.0. "CURRNT upgrade to EASE V5.4-1A" by HEWIE::RUSSELL (IBM (I've been moved) to F11/2!) Fri May 31 1991 18:06

Now that the EASE V5.4-1A CD-ROMs have arrived, it's time to start planning
the CURRNT and PASTIT upgrades.

In line with usual practice, CURRNT will be upgraded in the first week of
the migration window (i.e. the week of July 1st), while PASTIT will
be upgraded in the week of Sept. 2nd.

CURRNT will shut down at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, 2nd July, for full backups,
followed by an EASE V5.4-1A upgrade.

The cluster should be available by lucnhtime on Wednesday.

OF_NP_REF V1.2 must be installed before the upgrade; SDE Support are
handling this.

425.2Pascal problem on CURRNT ?CURRNT::DAWThe Real thing .......Tue Jul 09 1991 10:2016
	Help !

	Since the Ease upgrade, the build of our application has been falling
	over with the message "Internal Compiler Error" - we're using Pascal.

	Ferney Voltaire did the EASE testing for the application, and assessed
	no impact by any of the products.

	Has anyone else experienced this error and found a solution ? It's
	probably not even EASE related, but we didn't have the problem before
	the upgrade !

	Help again,

	Rob

There are quite a few ways to get an internal compiler error. I suggest you
post details of your crash in the Pascal notes conference.

425.4Pascal now fixed....HEWIE::RUSSELLHari Krishna, Hari Ramsden, Hari HariTue Jul 09 1991 12:4112
EASE V5.4-1A ships with a lower version of Pascal V4.1 than the one we were
already using.

(It turns out there are more than one version of Pascal V4.1..... we
used V4.1-49)

This has now been re-installed on CURRNT.

We will have to dothe same upgrade on PASTIT after EASE V5.4-1A install
in September.
