    LPS40$EYE will be down for the morning.
    
    A nice Mr Field Service man is going to perform major heart surgery on
    it, so you may not recognise a laser printer amongst the components
    that will be scattered all over the print room floor.

	LPS40$EYE has been temporarily fixed. The estimation on it remaining temporarily fixed is approximately a fortnight.... A new part for the laser unit is being ordered from America.

	LPS40$EYE is now in an enforced comatose situation.....sedative has been administered. A new cleaning unit is on order and as soon as it arrives a Field Service engineer will be around to fit it, in the meantime, the printer will remain shut down as it's impression of a paper shredder is not good for morale. I have been told to expect nice clean output from it after it's operation.

	Well....the printer was switched back on yesterday....I wasn't informed of this happy occurence, but you've guessed it... I've switched it back off again and called Field Service out again. It is still giving a good immitation of a paper shredder, so the original problem that Field Service were called out for has not been fixed. This time the problem has been complicated by the need for a new Fusing Unit, all it's prongs are now bent....one day they'll believe me, and actually bring that part with them !
