316.3 | Ah!! see the flowchart below.. | HEWIE::RUSSELL | I should have got a Duracell!! | Wed Feb 07 1990 12:36 | 27 |

1) Try to access Bookreader
-- but ---
fails because no license...
2) Try to register PAK
--- but ---
fails because no privilege..
so...
a number of choices
a) (and the one I prefer) - contact a consultant in writing,
in triplicate, in pencil, on the back of 10 pound notes,
and they'll register it for you.
b) Re-boot your workstation (this will pick up the latest
licenses)
c) call one of us, and we'll do it for you...
You're lucky, I'm reading this as I eat my lunch, so I'll do it now...
Peter.

316.4 | What about BASIC ? | SOOTY::CLIFFE | Howl at the Moon | Wed Feb 07 1990 14:59 | 11 |

Yippee ! Pete's magic presence made it work.
So look through list.
Ada, Pascal, Fortran, Lisp, C and lots of other DECW* thinngies.
Unfortunatley, we still use BASIC !
Have I missed it somewhere or does it not exist in bookreader format ?

316.6 | Give it time... | HEWIE::RUSSELL | I should have got a Duracell!! | Thu Feb 08 1990 09:44 | 18 |
| The official party line runs alonmg the lines
"More product documentation will appear on the CD's as time goes by."
Realistically, this means that documentation produced via Document will
appear quite quickly, because (as we know, and make use of!) it's relatively
easy to produce Bookreader output.
However, some "older" products (like FMS, and maybe BASIC...) last had
a major document revision before Document was widely used. Therefore the
manual sources are not available to easily translate.
Your guess is as good as mine as to if or when they'll get done....
This also means the RSTS stuff isn't available on-line, either...
Peter.
