288.0. "NEW ALL-IN-1 - best features" by CATHIE::CPERKINS (Cathryn Perkins @UCG (7)781 4375) Tue Oct 10 1989 12:06

The best thing I've found so far in ALL-IN-1 V2.3 is the option
to turn off distribution lists from being displayed.

On the Electronic Mail Menu use the Option SD.

(a flag tells you whether it's ON or OFF.)

If you don't have time to investigate anything else this one is worth
it especially with the size of the ADG group now.

Just to let you know there are people who try to improve the service...

This isn't part of standard ALL-IN-1, but an enhancment written by
a Regional group at the request of the users.

The UK Tools Consultancy group is working with the Regions and Europe
to pull "goodies" written, and required, into a core ALL-IN-1 system,
which will be implemented across most (if not all) the UK. The first
version of which is available with ALL-IN-1 2.3.

If you have any "goodies" suggestions, talk to your local EIS groups
	who manage your ALL-IN-1 systems.

If all else fails, mail me. Heather Harvey @reo

	glad you like the facility,

	Heather

How's about a facility (for certain accounts only - Eg Support
    Accounts) to delete unread Mail..

Often , I log into a support account on a cluster, and get "you
have 597 New Mail messages".. Or More....

And I *Don't* want to read them.... More than likely they're in
    a language I don't understand.....

There is a mail "filter" being written that will allow you to do lots
of things to your incoming mail, depending on content, sender etc.

As owner of the account, you will be allowed to set the parameters how
you wish. The "delete" was a facility that was required, I will
know towards the end of November if it will be included in the first
	version.
