Dear All,
PASTIT will be unavailable from Friday June 16th at 17:30 until Monday
19th June 1989 for PASTIT's disk replacement programme (See note
190.14 in SYSTEM_MANAGEMENT notes file).
All RA81 & RA82 data disks will be replaced by RA90's. You will see
an improvement in disk space.
The table below shows the current physical disks and the disks that
the workload will be backed up to.
There will be a number of things that will have changed after the
workload moves:
1. The physical device names will have changed (See table below).
2. The Disk Label's will have changed (See table below).
3. Logicals names for the disks have changed (See table below).

There are a number of changes to be made after the move some of which
you will have to carry out:
1. Please ensure that you have not hard-coded physical device names
in your command procedures or programs.
2. Re-submitt personal batch jobs.
3. We will leave current logicals pointing to the relevant disks
until Friday 23rd June. Please ensure that you have modified
your procedures or programs to reflect the new logicals eg:
DISK$DATA1:, DISK$DATA2: etc. by that date.
Below is a table showing the current logicals and their future
equivalents. All logicals in the first column will be removed on
Friday 23rd June.
