| The VMS V5 impact Document can be obtained from the following account:
FOOT::DISK$DEV004:[CAITHNESS.MIGRATION.DOC]VMSV5.*
where "*" is the document format.
There is also a seperate VMS V5 layered product list in that account,
named V5_PRODUCT_LIST.DOC (!).
When installed, the layered product release notes can be found in SYS$HELP.

213.2 | CMS Library Conversion | CURRNT::CAITHNESS | Colin CAITHNESS, @UCG, 781-4335 | Thu Feb 09 1989 16:42 | 7 |
| When upgrading to CMS V3 you must first verify and convert the existing
V2.3 CMS library.
For further information refer to Chapter 5 (Library Conversion) of the
CMS V3.0 Release Notes.

This isn't exactly a problem but:
During the installation there is a message informing the
Installer that the Release Notes have been inserted into SYS$HELP
This is fine, but how does one get at them in help and how do
you delete them from SYS$HELP when de-installing the product ??

213.4 | Waht problem | YARD::OTTEN | Insert witty comment here | Tue Feb 14 1989 10:06 | 13 |
| Depends.
If it's a Help Library that's been inserted into SYS$HELP, the command
is "HELP/LIBRARY=SYS$HELP:(libname)
If it's not a .HLB, then all you can do is type or print it (Should
be set to World Read)
You shouldn't be able to delete it unless you're in a privileged
account (?SYSPRV?) - but you need privs to install it there in the
first place, and also to deinstall the rest of the application.
No Problem

| It can also mean that a text file has been created in sys$help e.g.
sys$help:tdms018.release_notes . These files are world readable.
