The volume of uncollected printout accumulating in the printer room during the day is becoming unacceptable. Apart from having to wade through a mountain of green and white paper on the floor before you find your own copy, it's a potential fire hazard. IS operations clear out the room each morning and dispose of all printout older than 24 hours. System management clear up the mess during the day by stacking printout on the rack inside the room. Please, if you send files to the printers, collect them promptly. And if you have to tear off someone else's printout first then don't just dump it on top of the printer, file it on the shelves provided in the room. This applies to the laser printers too!

124.1 | Help I'm lost in 100 tons of listings. | CHEST::WRIGHT | Well it worked yesterday | Thu Mar 10 1988 16:09 | 9 |
No one appears to be taking any notice of you Jerry by the looks of the room this week. How about installing a camera pointing at the printer which then automatically rings the person up to tell them to collect their listing (every 10 minutes then 9,8,7,6 etc..) :-) Tony (whose fed up with folding bits of other peoples listings up that are 10 years old) | |||||

We are currently devouring 100 square miles of amazonian forest per week. Please do not send down printouts and then forgetting about them, and please when collecting printouts do not rip of the one you want and throwing the rest on the floor. this is creating a fire hazard, and I am trying to give up smoking Thanks Wai (We have installed a spy camera in the room so dont think we dont know who you are) |
