- On 21st Jan 1988 the FUTURS cluster will be upgraded to VMS V4.7
Before this happens, applications requiring a V4.5 environment should
be moved to the SUPPRT cluster and/or other processors.
If your application will not run under VMS4.7 OR you want to keep
it running under VMS4.5 can you please let me know via this notes
entry or mail to RDGE00::THOMPSON.
It would help me if you specify which layered product versions
are essential/desirable for your application to run under so that
I can (try) and avoid any conficting combinations.
- Apart from applications which change cluster to stay on VMS4.5,
I am looking to move applications from FUTURS to SUPPRT, and from
SUPPRT to ADG in line with the life span of the application releases.
i.e. Product release under development on FUTURS
Product release in the field on SUPPRT
Product release about to be discontinued on ADG
So for instance, if BDD has versions 1.1 and 1.0 on FUTURS, I would
expect the 1.0 environment to move to SUPPRT or ADG.
By implication this would also mean that some obselete applications
on ADG will be archived.
