85.0. "Print queue management ?" by HEWIE::HAYWARD (Concerned of Tilehurst) Sat Nov 07 1987 15:23

I've just queued a large (4739 block) print job
from CHEST:: by mistake. How can I delete this job ?

Well, like a lot of things in this life.....it depends.

If you queued it to the LPS40 (i.e. to queue <mumble>$EYE) then
just delete it in the normal way

                        delete/entry=xxx <queue_name>

If you queued it to one of the impact printers or the LN03, then
    there are two possibilities:

    1.	If it hasn't left your node yet, then the delete command (see
    above) applies.

    2.	If it has left your node (and therefore arrived on the ADG
cluster), I think you will have to get Jerry/Shaun to delete it
as (I suspect) that it will be owned by DECNET and you will not
have sufficient privs to get rid of it.

Yes Steve, the one above applies, but I don't think Jerry
or Shaun would appreciate it if I rang them at home over the
weekend, just so they could delete my print job !!! or would
	they ?

Oh, and by the way, you are right DECNET does own
the print job. I tried to delete it on the ADG cluster.
