    This note is to clarify the questions and doubts around the Window
    Management System (WMS).
    
    The WMS is an ADG developed product which provides a windowing
    environment based on FMS.
    
    The currently supported version of WMS is Version V1.3 and is the
    one that must be used in development where WMS is necessary.
    
    The rumours that WMS V2.0 is available are NOT to be believed. There
    is a modification of WMS that calls itself V2.0 but this is an
    unsupported (from an IS portfolio point of view) product which is
    totally incompatible with V1.3

    In summary:
    
    Don't use WMS unless you *need* it.
    If you need it, use only version V1.3.
