| Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have
compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I
not forget thee.
Isaiah 49:8,15
I find this verse to be rather revealing. As a mother, my first
reaction is of course not! But then the affirmation yes they may
forget [not that they will], but I will not forget thee, sorta made me
wince inside.
Will there be a day that I will forget my sons whom have suckled my
breast? Will I see them no longer? Will the compassion I have be
removed from my heart?
And if so, then my dear son, remember God will never forget you and in
Psalms 27:10, God says, "When my father and my *mother* forsake me,
then the Lord will take me up."
But man I must admit that this is a hard swallow for me.
